Hard work pays off! Janet Oliver arrived in the British Virgin Islands over 30 years ago and started her career in charter yachting by working aboard the BVI-based boats. On November 5, Oliver, who is now executive director of the Charter Yacht Society of the BVI, was inducted into the Charter Yacht Brokers Association’s (CYBA) Charter Yachting Hall of Fame. The award came after the organization’s annual Fall Charter Yacht Show, held at the Nanny Cay Marina, in Tortola. Oliver organizes both the BVI’s fall and spring charter yacht shows.

Como ya había adelantado puentedemando.com, el buque “Euroferry Egnazia” (IMO 9010151) ha sido abanderado hoy en España con el nuevo nombre de “Ciudad de Alcudia” e inscrito en la matrícula naval de Santa Cruz de Tenerife. El acto se ha celebrado en el puerto de Valencia. Este buque, que se incorpora a la flota de Trasmed, procede de Grimaldi Lines.

Enarbola bandera de Chipre y tras su varada y adecuación para su nueva etapa, reforzará la línea Dover-Calais en unión de los buques “Isle of Inishmore” e “Isle de Innisfree” con un total de 30 salidas diarias, una cada hora y media.
